Anyone else got a TSI R Line Tiguan?
Discussion
We bought a new black with black leather R Line with DSG, Pano roof and Petrol Turbo in 2015.
Wife has done 10k miles and it's usually at this point I sell it and refresh with a new one.
I think we paid around £36k but the equiv new specs are now north of £40k!
It's a great car and I'm now thinking of holding onto it for longer and swapping out for a Tesla 3. So my question is, are there any other Tiguans of this spec around, i feel it's going to be hard to value it!

Just buy a cherished plate and tell the neighbours you bought a new one the same colour as the old one. They won't notice it's not the latest shape
Seriously though, you'll be taking a big hit in depreciation on a car that's barely run in but as said it's your hard earned and the latest one is a really nice looking car.

OP,
A difficult car to value as most Tiguan were sold as diesel.
Despite the VW diesel scandal, suspect the vast majority will be looking for diesel second hand.
Yours is clearly a nice spec and low mileage but these tend to be 'family' cars rather than 'lifestyle' cars so less spec sensitive.
As a trade in, c. £20k.

Thanks for the replies.
The feel I was trying to get is if buyers are still looking for diesels v. We took a decision to move away from diesel due to concerns over air quaility. We live in the countryside so perhaps not effecting us as much.
I suppose I'm lookin for a level of validation that the petrol car has held its value better than if I had bought a diesel one.
Controversially, I have put a deposit down on a Tesla 3, though a build slot might not be for years...

Well your certainly have a very nice well specced car as it is. It has held value better than its diesel counterpart. The feel I was trying to get is if buyers are still looking for diesels v.
