Identifying fake Led Lenser torch
Discussion
Any torch experts here?
Can anyone tell from the photos whether my old Led Lenser is a real thing? I purchased it on sale on the internet a while ago (from a genuine looking online retailer, not fleebay) but after seeing some fakes on youtube I'm starting to have doubts.
I no longer have the original packaging or instructions but they were good quality, the torch works fine and feels solid but few details like the tilted logo on the pouch and the paper wrap around the LED (it's printed on some other models I've seen) look a bit dodgy.

Can't say for sure but just checked my P5 and has the same plastic around the LED as yours. Got mine direct from Amazon years ago. Case for mine doesn't have a squint logo, doesn't have one at all! It did come with a LED Lenser branded battery when new which I've since replaced. Never felt it wasn't the real deal.
Got an ebay one recently before finding out about the huge levels of counterfeiting. They are slowly erasing the tell tale signs on the fakes. The only surefire way is to ask the importer to check the serial number. They are very helpful. Mine was hooky but I got a refund. There were only 2 things that made me suspicious. Otherwise it looked completely legit.
