My wife and I relocated to Scarborough early last year from between Reading and Oxford. When we moved we had a Yeti for the wife, and I had a blobeye WRX estate (which I never "got"). She decided she didn't need a car so the Yeti went, shortly after the Yeti went she decided she did need a car so the hunt began. She had a Smart convertible before and wanted another, however after visiting a local second hand dealer with a (ropey!) mx5 she wanted one, so we bought one!

Shortly after buying it I decided I liked driving it so much that the Impreza was stupid so sold that and bought a Navara, which too was stupid so we sold that and bought a CRV for family duties.

All was great in MX5 land until I was driving and noticed a clicking noise from the drivers side rear wheel, thinking it was a stone I carried on, when I got to my destination I rather worryingly found this

So, we bought new wheels, which made the ride height look daft
So I then treated my wife to some HSD coilovers, and the tracking etc done at the same time.... Owning a B&B and having messed about with getting ourselves a logo we decided to get the car stickered up for a local car show I'm off to in a couple of weeks, so this is how she is at present

A close up of our logo

I definitely "get" the hype around these, it's such a fun car. It's now basically mine and I always try to steer my wife towards using my car, haha!

When I started modifying my wife's MX-5, a good few years ago now, I was told in firm tones to get one of my own. We've had two ever since!

I suggested I get one to play with which resulted in me being told no, so I may as well do it to hers, haha!

The only other plan I have is a GC Fabrications cage and then I'm a happy bunny!

Try the big bore loud exhaust, it worked for me. Didn't want to frighten old ladies when out shopping.
