Apologies if this isn't the correct section.

I have two seats that I need to have shipped to California. I knew it wasn't the easiest of things to arrange, but its proving difficult to find a good company thats not charging over £1,000 for a pallet collection.

Anyone have any experience or recommendations? I called one company today who wasn't interested, but suggested I tried Anglo Pacific. Since looking are their reviews on google I think I will avoid them.

Thanks

I had planned to put them both on a euro pallet.

So all in would be 1200x800x1200 66kgs in total. Or individual seat dimension is 1000 x 600 x 600.

Try DHL but they would need to be in sturdy boxes.

If you can get them into a box, it would increase your options, but may come up against maximum box size restrictions. UPS will ship up to 70kg in a box.

https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/packaging-an...

Looking at that link, there is a maximum size, but with a surcharge for bigger items?

Are they in boxes individually?
Palletised the chargeable weight is 192kg
If separate and in boxes. It'll be 120 kg
To send them loose would be around 500 quid
If you want to pay the duties and takes you'll need to fill in a foreign power of attorney form

I agree with Jacko above. 192kgs on pallets or 120kg as individual.

FPOA will be needed along with Foreign Company Certificate if sending DDP (Deliver Duty Paid). If sending (DAP) Delivered at Place) then no FPOA or FCC needed.

My Charges approx:
UK: £240.00
Air Freight: £263.30
US Charges: $520 / £406.25

So total on 192kg on DDP £909.55 plus and US duties & taxes. If on DAP £815.80. I would look at sending LCL. Transit time to Long Beach or Oakland would be around 30 days port-port and door-door approx 42 days total and you be looking at probably half of the above costs.
