Project Management roles
Discussion
I've been looking for the last month and seem to have applied at a fair few places, adjusting my CV where necessary and looking at 20 miles around where I live, but not many companies have got back to me. I live just outside of London (Watford).
I've had a couple of interviews I was unsuccessful with in the first week but nothing since. Wondering if it's just a bad time to be applying or if these roles just don't exist? Or maybe my CV simply isn't good enough?
Anyone else applying and having little to no success?

August is pretty crap for recruitment, lots of decision makers on holiday, Usually picks up by early to mid september.
I'm looking for the same role as the OP but within 20 miles of Farnborough in Hampshire. Making lots of applications but few interviews. Hopefully it's just the holiday season!
OP is your LinkedIn profile up-to-date? I've had some approaches there. Obviously no new role yet but perhaps potential...
My last two jobs were approximately 45 applications each, 3-4 interviews and 1-3 job offers. It's a game of statistics. Once you get to interview, you are halfway home.
Advice: keep moving, keep applying, keep researching self-improving and practising interview skills. I wouldn't dwell on an applications.

Rog007: Thank you. You've asked me in the past (a long long time ago) to provide a CV but I failed to do so. Many apologies as I don't think I have from memory (being busy and not checking in here often). I'll ping it over to you as soon as I can.
Thanks for the input from others too. It's good to know I'm not the only one. Part of me was considering going back into IT but as a contractor and put up with my annoying health issues (partially deaf with loud tinnitus and vertigo issues) but I'll persevere a little longer. It is fairly annoying as I've been out of work for about 7 weeks now.
