Just a thought....

Say you deploy your all singing all dancing community wireless LAN.

You want to allow all your friends access to the Net, but still need to recoup the costs.

Most ISPs forbid the reselling of the bandwidth, so how about you just lease your friends the wireless kit and there just happens to be a gateway to the Internet that they might use.

Reckon you could get away with it?

Free usage can't count as 'selling' can it?

Hell, if you become a lesbian, you could probably get a grant for it...

Don't re-sell it, just split the cost between you and your friends.

It's what I've set up for a few friends who are sharing a 2mb line.

One has the account and wireless ADSL router, the others have the wireless gateways.

Total cost split 4 ways each month.

If one doesn't pay for one month they get a warning from the guy with the router, the second month they get blocked or throttled (bandwidth, not neck).

Hmmm, quite like the idea of that, trouble is with boobs, I doubt I'd get out of the bedroom in a morning
