My car is very reliable and does not give problems, but do keep on top of the little niggles etc.

Anyway, ordered some new tyres for the front as getting a bit worn and old. Nice day yesterday for a change, working from home tyres have been delivered - perfect!!

Opened garage, key in ignition, first the alarm goes off, second the pump does not prime and car wont start - AHHH alarm problem, but first check relays and fuses in footwell, all ok. Second off with the dash and check alarm, all ok.

Now getting a bit frustrated, but carry on, jack up rear and check connections on pump, and low and behold a little wiggle and she is away.

Its always the last thing, and the most simple.

Off to the tyre supplier, roof off town is full of holidaymakers - everyone smiling at the car with young lads shouting appreciation - soon forgot about woes - life is great!!!

A couple of months ago I'm driving along then suddenly loss of Power then carry on as if nothing happened, find a suitable side road to stop and assess, it's does it a second time as I pull up and won't fire.
Look at engine for a few moments, Mbe ign so not much to see.
Noticed I'd hit bumps as I came to a stop,
Stroke of genious but I just quickly check connections at pump and one wire was loose on its connector, luckily had small pliers in the boot so remedied that and she fired up and on my way in no time. Happy Tivvin.

Ditto - mine conked out a couple of weeks ago and coasted to a stop and it was loose wires to the fuel pump. Really is worth making sure they are on tight and not corroded - common fault on these cars...

Took mine to work today makes the 100 mile round trip and M25/M3 all so much more bearable.

Never thought I would love a car as much as my 205GTI....but you know what all over this TVR.

Gave it a bit of welly down the country lanes near home and made me really smile.....the noise is awesome too smile
