Ebay counterfeit antics

I'm pretty familiar with Ebay, I've done a fair bit of selling on it, and I buy the odd bits here and there. For the most part I buy car parts, dinky toys, that kind of stuff, usually from some guy who's clearly been ordered to clear out the shed/garage/attic/manroom. However, I recently needed a new, cheapy phone so purchased what was titled as 'Nokia 3310 2017'. A quick scroll down had shown it was refurbished, 30+ in stock and from a supplier in Glasgow. Ideal, £18, that should be fine, and the seller has 100k+ feedback. In hindsight, I'm a mug.
When the phone arrived, it was clearly not a genuine item, so I re-read the listing, which I noted had been revised, to see the line 'this is a high quality copy'. I reported the listing, and then contacted the seller for a refund. I have subsequently been offered, 20%, 30% and 50% off to keep the thing. I have no doubt I'll be offered 60-70% off shortly. It has taken Ebay over 2 weeks to pull the listing, no doubt the high sales volume of that seller had something to do with it.
Is this kind of comedy back and forth nonsense commonplace? I had a couple of suppliers in a previous role through Alibaba and they were really straightforward and easy to deal with.

I ordered 5 2017 3310 handsets when my carphone warehouse back order cancelled and all were fake - all from different sellers and all immediately acknowledge they were fake when challenged - all refunded immediately
FYI CPW has them available and in stock for next day delivery.
Had issues with fake Hugo Boss 'green' polo shirts and tshirt as well - totally different fit and different labelling inside - again refunded
I also bought a pink gshock a little while back, the housing was fake but the internals were correct which was a little odd - I only paid a small amount though so didn't follow up on that one

I listed a Canada Goose coat on eBay. It's 100% genuine, I have the receipt from the CG UK retailer where I bought it.
I received an email from eBay today saying that the listing has been removed: "We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Counterfeit policy. We don’t allow counterfeit items, replicas, or unauthorised copies to be listed on eBay."
I contacted eBay to find out how to put this right, not least because I don't want eBay to record (mistakenly) that I am a seller of counterfeit goods. What followed was the most Kafka-esque conversation ever. eBay won't say who has decided that the coat is counterfeit, they won't say why, and they won't provide any contact details for me to take this further in any way. They say "..our policy team has reviewed all the details and found the item has some authenticity concerns. That's the reason we won't be able to allow this item. Regarding the contact details, I regret such informations are for internal purpose and we are not entitled to share with our members."
So there it is. Someone at eBay (or CG's fake spotting people) have mistakenly decided that I'm selling a counterfeit coat. I'm not, but there is nothing - literally nothing - that I can do about it.
Asking here just in case any PH'ers have advice or experience on this topic from which I might benefit..?

I had simar with Mont Blanc pens I was moving on. It seems to be reports by people viewing them and other sellers limiting the markets for their own products more than a team at eBay. I'm not sure I would run the risk selling it on eBay. Bids will be low with the anticipation it'll be fake and if the buyer claims it's fake you'll have issues.

With regards to Canada Goose and Mont Blanc pens it will be the copyright owner who will probably have wanted them removed - check out Ebay veRO. The IP owner registers with Ebay, once accepted they can report any item genuine or not and it will be removed.
Ebay is a hotbed of fake items, items you would never believe would be faked are but because you can sell in big volume and quick sellers try it on.
