well after nearly 8 years, my ultimate toy has sadly been sold.
i have had a brillaint time and met and made friends to some fantastic people on here.

The new owner will be along in a few days, but he is abit busy at the moment. Francois is on his way home, and having a bit of a road trip with his son back to Toulouse in Southern France. lol.

Francois is a proper petrolhead and has a few other nice cars, and wanted something a bit special he can use on the track as well, so a great choice, and wow what a car to do it with.

i wont be leaving the forum, but would like to thank everyone for all the years of fun on here and meets we have shared so far, and one day i might own one again.

And a special thanks to Richard and Andy at the factory too.. Their support is just fantastic.

many thanks Dom

You know what they say: the two best days of car (plane/motorcycle/boat/etc.) ownership are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Having made up one's mind to sell, it's always a relief to get it done. With that in mind, congrats!

You held onto yours longer than I did mine (and sold it quicker!), but I can definitely appreciate your thoughts on the adventure and the guys at the factory.

What's next on your automotive agenda? I picked up an F430 to play with for awhile.

Life moves on and sometimes you want a change. A good Ultima has a reasonable value that can open a few 'previously owned' supercar doors. Or it may fund another project!

My getting 'out' of Ultima ownership will probably be prompted by my inability to "get into/or out of" my Ultima.

Dom.
Your input into this forum in future will always be welcome as you have experience to bring.

ive been looking at 430,,,hahahaha but nothing at the moment as i have a 356 and m3 track car too.. with brexit in the future i think the classic car market will suffer so i might buy something in a few years when they take a nose dive to realistic prices.

Ultimas will always hold their prices as so specialized.

F430 is a fine car to own I had a manual box in mine (preference) and it was a joy to heel and toe down the box.
it was this car that introduced me to carbon ceramic brakes, if I buy another this will be pre-requisite.
The only criticism I could mention is that (for me) it felt too wide on smaller B roads.

Hi Dom, I'm sorry to know you've really sold your Gtr. frown

But in the last year it was in the air ...... even if you were really a great GTR enthusiast.

I also sometimes I go into crisis but I just ride it 5 minutes and the crisis passes.smile

I can tell you that every week I drive many supercars of all types (almost) but the GTR is special.

And above gtr is not for all ....
I think gtr or love it or hate it. It does not get in the way.

For me ,The most fun supercar with the best price / design ratio (scenic presence) / performance, but also uncomfortable, not relaxing and demanding at 360 ° ......

Very Demanding

I still hope and I think: __My getting 'out' of Ultima ownership will probably be prompted by my inability to "get into/or out of" my Ultima___smile

In any case Dom thanks to your experts and valuable contributions, and i hope read you here.
Good luck with the choice of your new supercar.

We are PetrolHead with gasoline in the veins! smile
