Girlfriend has started modelling
Discussion
Been together two years, have our ups and downs like any couple but on a whole we are a good match.
She did two modelling photo shoots recently, unpaid but the photos have made it into multiple magazines. I’m not really bothered about the modelling as its nothing tasteless but the shoots have involved her having male partners, acting as her boyfriend or husband.
You can guess what the photos are, her being very physical with another man and the pair of them acting like a couple.
I’m not jealous or insecure because I’m certain she’s not going to leave me with someone she shoots with for a few hours but the whole thing just makes me feel a bit of a mug. Especially when the photos make it to Facebook for all of our friends and family to see, with people are commenting “who is this guy, I thought you had a boyfriend, is your boyfriend OK with you doing this” etc.
I know for a fact if it were me modelling with a female partner she’d hit the roof, anyway I haven’t raised it with her yet because I want the PH reality check first.

They just magically appear on Facebook? Surely the kind of people who make comments like that are peripheral acquaintances or they'd know the score. Also who's that thick that they can't tell a professional posed photo from the "real" thing? Ignore the muppets but have a quiet conversation about how you feel. If that fails, ask here where she thinks these unpaid photos are leading. The real answer's more likely to be nowhere than not.
Having been behind the camera for a few model shoots (hobby rather than job) I'd say that no matter how the end result looks the actual shoot is about the least sexy thing happening.
You have the photographer telling them where to stand/look etc, make up artists (and probably others on bigger shoots) standing to the side watching.
If it really bothers you ask her about it.

Quite happy to be called insecure just be sure you are using it in the correct context, in this case I don't think its correct.
Insecure in a relationship is when you think you may lose your partner for whatever reason.
This doesn't apply here, but ask yourselves, would you want to see photos (or even know of) your girlfriend/partner kissing someone else or is it OK because it was "modelling"?
P.s. yes I agree its a career that goes nowhere for 99.9% of Individuals and is nothing more than en ego boost.

Hey fella,
I think It's not a big deal and you shouldn't worry about it. If you're feeling some kind of way at seeing those pics then I think you need to take a big deep breath and consider the fact that those feelings aren't right, they're just unnecessary macho-isms that it's ok to feel but you shouldn't act upon, and try to put them to one side. Without wishing to sound patronising, I think they're more the feelings of a young guy than they are somebody a bit older who's had a few more years of relationships under their belts. (But then not many rubbery old moms take up modelling
)
However, I'm not you. So if that doesn't work for you, you should sit down with your GF and have a sensible conversation. You should tell her how seeing these photos makes you feel, that you hugely support her in what she wants to do, but it scares you that you might continue to have these feelings that you don't like. Then see if you guys can come to a compromise.
Whether or not you reach a compromise that suits both of you is a leading indicator of whether or not you're right for each other. Perhaps you are, perhaps you're not.
