Yesterday I saw an RN Sea King with the SAR orange nose and tail paint scheme flying around Gosport.
I was under the impression these old beasts had been put out to pasture. Am I wrong, or did I see something special yesterday?

Heard that a couple were being used to train German SAR crews via a private contractor but can't find the source...

I spotted that too yesterday as we were walking around Port Solent. Mentioned to the missus that it was like the bumblebee of flight dossing around Portsmouth harbour. Nice to see, I am old enough to remember lots of them flying.
