Hi all

I have a £30k budget to go out and purchase a company car but I'm struggling to see past the usual A4, 320d or C220d.

It must be under 130g CO2 and under 1 year old.

Any better ideas? Automatic preferred.

Thanks, in desperate need of some inspiration!

Anyone driven the S90 (or new XC60)?

What are your requirements? And is it company car for BIK or a car allowance.

I was in similar situation, needed a saloon which was reasonable. Went for the a4 "ultra" which is 99g c02 and cheap as chips on bik. Didn't add a single option to it apart from changing the wheels to a different style but still 17's

Never regretted it once, reasonable base spec and so so cheap on BIK compared to similar cars.

Not quick, but a reasonable turn of pace for general motorway miles, and enough space for a 3 person family

I'm between the Jag XE R Line auto and the A4 S line s-tronic.

I'm putting the purchase through the business so need to be under 130g CO2 for corporation tax purposes. Otherwise anything under £30k is potential!

Look at the merc c350e - should be be able to pick a q year old one for less than 30k and well below the co2 easily meets your target...

They are very well specked as standard and a lot of fun to drive...

Had the same dilemma but went for an Alfa Giulia much to the amusement of the thrusting salesmen in their 320d / A4s.
So far so good after 5000 miles and not a hint of rust!

ETA You could probably get a new one sub 30k with the same spec as above if you pushed hard enough! Diesel 2.2 full leather etc etc.

Yes, test drove the S90 and ordered one (would have chosen a V90 but no deals on them)

Lovely place to be, great standard spec, decent gear box, loads of space, and MOST OF ALL, not another bloody Audi !

You can even qualify for the tax allowances with a petrol.

You could have a whole range of Lexus hybrids for that budget/CO2 output.

Forget the CT, which is crap.

The IS and GS ranges are analagous to the usual A4/3 series. If you want something less 3-box saloon, Sir could have an NX or at a pinch, even an RC...

(One RC under a year old for sale under £30k on Autotrader.)

Really depends if you're being given money to go and buy whatever you want or if it's a company car.
For 30k you could get a Golf R

I'm looking at company cars (from a very short list) and getting tempted by the Volvo V60, compares favourably on BIK, CO2 but feels a better bet than the lowest of the low 316 or A4

How about a 330e? You could get an almost new one for your budget http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

How rigid is the Co2 limit? A 330d is over, but not by much and you can get one with delivery miles http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...

With the way the CO2 BIK bands are increasing over the few years, I'm choosing to opt out and buy my own car. If you just stay in, hybrid is the only way forward as diesel and petrol are just shocking BIK for a higher rate tax payer going forward. Even the Hybrids are going to get a kicking.

Good luck.
