Some sort of large-ish twin engined biplane just flew north over Tower Bridge then banked off west. Large for a biplane, didn't look old like, say, a Moth, and had quite pointed wingtips. Nothing on FR.

Maybe it is associated with Belfast? Belfast did have an aircraft during WW2

Almost certainly a Dragon Rapide. Go compare it with other types – there aren't many.

I reckon it would have been the Classic Wings Rapide.

Yep, as above, more than likely that Rapide. Interesting thing to see fly over - in fact I wouldn't mind a ride in that!

Almost definitely a Dragon Rapide as there is a sightseeing operation running these days. I've sen it over London a few times now.

They used to do day trips to France and the battlefields a couple of times a year from Goodwood IIRC however haven’t seen it offered in a few years and so it’s just sightseeing flights now.

From Duxford, if you're lucky. In April I booked a flight but no one else did so the Rapide didn't fly all day; the previous day it had made four flights.

I've been in that one, on a pleasure flight over Newquay when it was with (the now defunct) Classic Air Force.
