I have bought a car from Charles and still have it. He is a genuine individual who delivers what he agrees to.

As has been pointed out he has been in business for years and is real fan of the "golden era" Mercedes' models. I doubt if there are many existing dealers who have a dealt with and sold as many of these models as he has. If you click on the "previous sales" tab on his website you will get a flavour of this.

I would buy from him again.

I know about five Charles Ironside cars and three buyers from him.

The cars are all very good examples.

None was perfect or concours. You cannot abdicate your responsibility as buyer merely because you are buying from him.

By all accounts he is straight and honest and reliable. I think that he usually owns the cars he is selling.

He seems very open to negotiation.

He is at the top of the market in all respects, knows his onions but car dealing is car dealing.

i bought an r107 300sl from Charles a few years back.

Dealing with him was reasonably straight forward.

He does have good cars.

I regret not buying a stunning 280se 3.5 coupe 2-3 years ago.

If he had the car i wanted at the right price, i would not hesitate dealing with him again.
