I'm on my second version of the website, both done by myself, first through wix and second and current through wordpress. They both did us ok, but it's time to move up a notch in my plans. I'm looking for a webdesigner to truly bring our premium enclosed trailers in front of the right customers. Curious what can be done, I have some ideas myself that we can talk about. We only present the trailers through the website, all sales are done outside so no transactions.

And here's the culprit : www.turatello.co.uk

Pm me or email to info@turatello.co.uk. I'd like to see clear similar portfolio, ideally with a configurator, 3D models of product maybe, decent conversion rate.

Lovely things they are, I don't think the quality of the site would turn me off buying from you as long as the salient information is accessible.

Whilst you can easily afford to pay strong lead acquisition cash if it converts I would get a online potential report done before you spend on site or marketing.

You can then decide to weight the budget more on site or marketing or do (say) a deal for 12 months of site and marketing for a set fee.

That's interesting! I think I understand what it is, bit how exactly do I get an online potential report?

To be honest before I got involved in tne agency my 18 years of ecommerce hadn't come across one! Also as I widely state I'm the happy smiling useless face of the business, so I'll ask Pete my talented colleague to advise by email however the last one he did (for a PHer) was 54 pages and probably paid for itself on day one.

I've just sent you an email with details of the person that built our site, that I am very happy with.

Devil's advocate

Do you really need a new site?

Maybe if you concentrate on getting the basics right

e.g. decent photographs (scaled correctly - not stretched)

I click Buckle up now (quite a catchy CTA!) and it scrolls to the bottom of the page with no visible email / telephone number so click about about us

and still no visible contact details, so click contact us

and on and on ad nauseam

Have you had many requests to configure & buy online? 3D configurator would be nice but could be more of a party piece which takes a while to get a return on.

Lots of nice things could be done with your site though, nice brand and trailers look great!

Not had so many requests to buy online, but it's something I've been planning for a while. I am of the impression that we have the most technological advanced product but our current website doesnt do it justice. Also we can do so much more on the marketing side and with a perfect website it would be a lot easier.

Good question. It need to be fast to load, offer the viewer all the information required quickly and easy to access, also the website needs to present our entire range of products and it needs to function without errors on all devices. Premium product needing a best in class website. Have had a look at other premium Italian automotive companies. Our website needs to have a similar feel, best at showing our trailers for what they are. Ofcourse the website needs to make use of all media content we have and put in a modern Italian frame.

Thats not too bad! In some other cases it is a lot slower. I have a feeling it looks quite amatour-ish at the moment and it doesnt really help with the premium brand image we are after.

You really really need to up the game with product photography, e.g.

and when you hover over them it just gives the wrong impression

Yeah totally agree. Some of the photos used are very unprofi. Should be in a much better position now photos wise.
