lost producer

i got stopped in the lorry at work on tuesday and issued with a producer.problem is i have since lost it and am wondering what to do as it was issued in saffron walden and i illected to show documents at my local nick about 50 miles away.should i take the relavent documents to my local nick and explain the situation or go back to saffron walden with them.any ideas,please

Pop down to your local nick I expect - they'll be able to contact the originating Plod and tell them you've complied.

At the time of the request to produce your DL etc you elected to produce at your named local nick.

Get there within 7 days of the stop and produce and explain.

Just, as an Insurance policy, make a note as to the name/number of who you produced to in case they have problems (not yours) in tracing the requesting officer. If he doesn't get details he may stick failing to produce offences. The fact that you did produce is a defence.
