Evening all,

I've recently installed a new stereo, a Pioneer MVH-X580DAB and I have a pair of 6x9 Rockford Fosgate Punch in the rear and Sony XS-3051D in the front. I'm looking at advice for an amp. Do I need to look at a 4 x 100W (Sony speakers are 100W Max 33W Power Rated) or do I go for a 4 x 30W amp?

Also, is the standard TVR cable capable of driving the front units from the amp or do I need to run new thicker wire?

Personally I'd fit the more powerful amp as this gives a nice bit of headroom so you constantly get a nice clean signal without worrying about any distortion into the speakers.
Regarding cable. I would imagine the stock cable has seen better days so upgrade there wouldn't hurt wink

You would be better off with a 4 x 100 amp, i think the general rule is 100% of the speakers rms value.
Id change the cable, dont go mad with expensive stuff but make sure it has a decent csa.
