Am looking at the M3 and M4 cars. The speedo has an MPH display. I drive a lot in France. How does it show kph?

Have you checked it doesn't have a digital kph display in the MFD between the clocks?

My VW analogue speedo has no kph calibration but does have a digital kph display in the MFD.

BMW dealer and BMW Genius (sic) UK have no idea. The latter suggested getting HUD but weren't sure if it could display kph for UK cars. I need the manual really

In the measurements/units menu in the I drive, set to kph. This will only display in digital under the speedo. This is how it is in my m6, shouldn't be too different.

Ah! a digital speedo how '1986 Vauxhall Astra GTE'. Didn't like them then, don't like them now! Dicks!

It's fine change to KPH in the I-drive shows on the dash and HUD I never really look at the analogue speedo.

Does it really? On the M5 it only changes the digital speedo on the dash, not the HUD too, which is annoying.

You've got me questioning that statement now I'm sure it did when I drove to cologne last year.

Agree think only digital speedo on dash if you have it enabled/switched on. The speed on HUD in my M5 always mph but if you have speed limit display then it does a cute conversion - reading map/traffic signs in kph and adjusting HUD limit to mph
