718 Cayman-active cruise control (PAS)
Discussion
I've not driven a Porsche with this system but have in an Audi and it was very impressive. However, I'm not sure I would want it in a sports car as it's a bit Autonomous for my liking over standard cruise if that makes sense. Two other things put me off - 1) The huge cost and 2) The hideous lens at the front of the car. What were Porsche thinking?
I've spec'd boggo cruise on my 718 but I'm going for a manual so it's moot.

I've driven several of these 'intelligent' cruise controls, including Porsche Adaptive Cruise Control, which I presume is the same thing.
I remember when many people disliked standard cruise, citing it as "dangerous" - but these days, nearly everyone has it and uses it - you can judge by the speed consistencies on M-ways.
The Porsche system I've used was very good. Takes a bit of getting used to at first, as does normal cruise, but once acquainted I really liked it and it works extremely well.
