Prison and your bottom ?

Every mention of prison on PH is met with stuff about becoming someone bh and not dropping the soap, lest you become impaled.

Is prison really like that, do normally straight men go on a "bender" due to the lack of ladies ?

Anyone actually been inside (a prison) and was it like that, or is it just those gay men that are incarcerated carry on as normal and some that were on the fence partake, is it the lack of physical contact.

I cant say I have any latent homosexual desires, I kind of wish I had as I would have got way more sex but I cant imagine I would be an enthusiastic participant just for the lack of women, I have been through droughts and the old methods sufficed then without the need for Barry for B blocks meaty appendage ?

Is it really a thing, or is it from films, is it a bit of a way to put some off going as you will "definitely get bummed" ?

no doubt some do get raped in pokey but i doubt its rife

I did a bit of time and never did I hear of or experience anything like it. It may be different on the 'nonce wings' or places that hold a large number of lifers, i couldn't say.

I think most studies into the subject find that while consensual sex between prisoners is widespread rape is very rare. Many of the prisoners don't consider themselves gay just a case of "needs must"

Know someone who does psychological counselling of prisoners in jails and she reckons it is pretty common, particularly in female wards. Often has to deal with the fallout from failed relationships, lags who regret favours for tobacco, that kind of thing.

Never been near one and don't care really.

Neither have I, but I see it on every mention of prisons, thought it was worth seeing if that is the case or just something we say, its almost a default response.

Who is doing the raping? Does she mean sexual assault by other female prisoners, or if not that where are the men coming from? Are they warders or something else?

Research on this in the USA indicates there are more males raped in prison than females raped in mainstream society. Of course the USA is not here I accept that.

Doesn't happen that often, but you do hear of weaker ones getting passed about like scud books in some of the LTP jails. Mostly to repay debts or for protection. Also happens in the smaller local jails for the same reason but is less common.
