Where do you drive your classic?

The title should have read... with kids..
So just getting back into my Classic cars and now my son is fast approaching 10 and daughter 5 its really is time we started taking the cars out after having taking an enforced break due to time commitments.
I am in the suburbs of London and frankly driving anywhere in a non air-conditioned Automatic cocooning you away from the London grime can be quite tiresome.
I also usually ride motorcycles so traffic is a very boresome ordeal too. I have long given up on the ACE Café as its too far and becomes a pain if you get there early and then trapped in the North circular traffic or get there late... when no one is around. I still love the ACE though. Lol.. god I sound grumpy.
I am thinking Goodwood Sunday's and maybe an evening drive into West London for hot chocolate?

However, like you I'm in London suburbs too, but a LOT closer to the Ace, but the Ace isn't what it was to me back when Mark first re-opened it, and that combined with it being TOO CLOSE (less than 5 miles away) means even when the '32 does hit the road, I doubt I'll ever take it to the Ace.
Depending on the age of your classic, the Classic Car meet out at the Harte & Magpies pub on the 2nd Tuesday of the month is a nice little trip out on a spring/summer/autumn eve. Its on the A355 Amersham Rd, between Beconsfield and Amersham.
Its very popular now, and as such I think I've seen somewhere that it's now restricted to 'historic VED' cars only.......?
Lol.. definitely wont be moving away from London anytime soon.
I guess one of the problems is too much choice for me, which isn't a bad problem to have. I used to use my previous 68 Mustang a almost a daily driver and it was a great machine to use so regularly.
For my other classics I think early morning, late evening and Sunday longer drives will be the ticket with the kids in tow. Should be good enough to burn the classic car memories into their little heads.

I use my “Willys” Jeep weekly, more so summer time, but have been out in single figure temperatures, that just equals more clothes! My Kids and especially grand kids love it, every time I see them its “can we get the Jeep out”. We have a bit of land and this time of year after harvesting we can pop around some of the local fields, so they get plenty of off road action.
Been on a few road trips with them as well, mainly to events etc.
Wife and I often use it weekends, shopping, pub lunches visiting folks, etc etc, it’s great fun.
Cobra is more of a longer distance machine so does not get used as much, we did go on holiday in it to the West Country recently though

I thought it was just love of Escorts that we had in common, but your current stable includes 2 of my other all-time favourites, Cobra and GPW.....both with a heavy Ford connection as well. I've spent many a happy hour at the wheel of other peoples Jeeps doing just as you do, and I'd have one in a heartbeat if I had space for more than one toy, but my '32 Ford is number one choice for me.
Funny enough, my money-no-object 5 car 'toy' garage would all be Fords, or Ford connected!
My '32 Ford 3w, plus I'd add a Cobra, a Ford GPW, a '63 Galaxie with a 'Cammer' and of course an Escort RS1600.
I'd be a happy man.
