As a TVRCC member, what benefits do you get?

I'm not the TVRCC just an ordenery member.
I understand that track days are good value.
There is a tie in with an insurance agent/company.
Loads of regions you can attend and regional activities.
I gather the TVRCC committee have had their hands full for the past 14 months adjusting the clubs legal obligations to fullfil the legal requirements of running such a club.
Usually have a National meeting annually, generally a full 2/3 day affair.
For just £35 its got to be worth joining to decide for yourself.
Best to get to your local region and have a natter and looksee.

Exactly, if you're a member... which I'm not... but many are... I'm not questioning the £35 pound which is peanuts... just wandering what benefit to the TVR owner TVRCC offer... other marquee clubs offer varied deals and offers... just being devils advocate and wandering if TVRCC can do more for us owners... but from the above it sounds like its very much just a magazine and regional meets with next to no discounted services or exclusive bargains to owners... am I wrong in this belief?

Servicing discounts?
Warranty arrangements?
Convoys to europe?
Discount prices on tyres?
Group buying discounts on clutches/starter motors?
Discounted rolling road tuning?
anything along the lines of the above???? like a collective compendium of offers for the TVR enthusiast? Surely with big numbers on their books they could pull in a few companies into special arrangements....
I also doubt very much they could get a better deal than what I'm getting with my current insurance company... I've rang these so called specialist insurance companies up, always double quoting what I currently pay, so I wont hold my breath with TVRCC insurance discounts....

Make new friends
Travel to other regional meetings
Show your pride and joy!
Maybe get a pic in the club magazine!
And lots more.
The club is at the centre and the community of members revolve around it!

Sorry but that sounds really bad, you make it sound like it's a club for middle-aged loners with no friends!

There are not - as yet - discounted parts service etc - some local regions can put you in touch with discounted specialists but the Club doesnt have such arrangements with Main dealers
If your getting cheaper insurance then tell us where - we might want a quote!

Oooo Gemini .. don't get a certain midlands group started on the subject of TVRCC Le Mans tickets ...
the insurance is cheapest at Tescos and other *shop-around places* from what we read on here .. the tvrcc track days are probably the worst value for money around (i've just done 5 hours on an airfiled day for 90 pounds, now that's good value) .. there's regional events but you don't have to be a member to access those .. the national gathering, well PHer's do that much better anyway, and you get to see waaaaaay better cars than TVRs .. like ferarri and lambo.
If you're a member you get acess to the inner sanctum of the tvrcc website (which isn't even worth the effort of entering your username and password for), and Sprint.
I'm a member but only because of the Sprint magazine .. if it wasn't for that I'd not bother. I don't use any of the so-called member benefits because you can usually do the same thing much better and cheaper elsewhere.
Sprint is worth 35 pounds a year though if only for the great joospeed articles and tasmin pics
but you're not losing out by not being a member.
As a club it's probably quite a good one .. but in this interwebbery day and age the value of a club is very diluted, there's so much info on the net .. and the virtual club of PH is all you ever really need as a resource PH stands head and shoulders above the tvrcc forums for instance .. much more *our* kind of people

Speaking as a bearded (& bald just to really fit the bill) nearly 45 year old - I thought you fitted in really well when you came to see us Corin
Like many things in life what you get out ouf it generally reflects on what you are prepared to put in.
I dont have my insurance through the TVRCC approved company, I dont tend to do track days - but I do have an incredible social life with people who I genuinly hope have become friends for life - what more could you ask for?
