Pubs/restaurants around Scarborough?

Hello all.

My Brother and his other half and 3 year old are off to Scarborough on holiday. Does anyone have any experience of eating out around there? Any gems?

the plough, the falcon and the copper horse are all decent. all slightly on the outskirts of scarborough mind.

Slightly further afield, about 45 mins drive, The Star at Harome. Lovely michelin starred pub in middle of nowhere.

If talking further afield, 30 mins away in Robin Hoods bay the Bramblewick Fish and Grill is a real gem.

The Green Room is good, it's a small family run place just out of the town centre.

Or the Pheasant at Harome.

The Star Inn is very, very good.

A bit late to the party but there are some fabulous eateries in Scarborough:
AZ - a Turkish
Eat Me Cafe - all sorts
Pomodoros - Italian
North Bay Fisheries - The best chippy
Relish - a great cafe in town
The Plough - as previously mentioned
Cow Shed - Burgers

Try the Eastern Paradise if you fancy a curry. I've had several there across the years and its always been enjoyable.
