Looking at changing my gtr for a masser as I have Always wanted one. Question is is it worth the extra money for the 2013 model

You need to try both to decide.

- if you want the semi-automated manual, you will have far, far more choice pre-MY2013.

- if you want the auto, then the later car has better software and that is worth it alone IMO. A number of pre-MY2013 cars did come with the revised software I believe ("MC Auto Shift" or some such phrase) which would also be a consideration.

- aesthetics...I like both front ends on the cars and changed my mind several times when looking. Interior wise I much preferred the later car's seats (more comfortable for me).

- the later car also got a power boost, but ~20bhp isn't a game changer for an 1800kg car.

There aren't many of these cars around no matter what. So along with the above decisions, think carefully about colour inside and out, plus what spec items you really want. Then see what's around.

Thanks mate.
Yes when looking they all seem to have different interiors.
My choice would be white with carbon pack.
And quite like the red leather and interior carbon pack.
Seems the older models in white with a obove spec seen to be a few extra ££££

There were a few white cars when I was looking 18mths or so ago. Sport models (MY2013 and newer).

Carbon interior is nice. Alcantara also makes a big difference to how they feel.

The MY2013 model also has daylight running LEDs. I personally prefer the front end of the GT Sport, but equally some people prefer the purer earlier shape. The seats are also an improvement. The side sills are different as well.

I have an early one and like the vantage, the early one for me has the cleanest lines. I'd love to try the 4.7,am not convinced that 0.5l extra would make a significant difference to such a heavy car

I have a 4.2 GranTurismo,

I was amazed how much room there is in the back.

This is our puppy crate which is a good size-

I cashed in on my 550 this year and replaced it with a 2013 4.7S. I’ve also done a Michelotto 430 scud remap, auto box remap and made exhaust a bit louder. I also fitted a remote controlled valve so I can have exhaust in loud mode while on comfort suspension settings - well worth it.

I love the car. It doesn’t quite have the grunt of my 550 or XFR, but it isn’t far off. The sound and looks are amazing I think. Mine is silver with graphite wheels and red interior. The suspension and damping is sorted, and it rides almost as well as the Jag in comfort setting.

What else is out there that looks and sounds so good? Not much....
