GTI Mk7 losing pressure every other day
Discussion
Hoping for some guidance here, the car is leased on the deals from back in October 2016. I've had 8 months from new and from research on this issue it suggests a cracked alloy... car's done 5/6k. Wheel is rear left o/s.
Getting to the point -
Will I have any luck with VW on this in regards to warranty?
New alloys from VW appear to cost circa £1000.00, anyone know any 2nd hand suggestions bar ebay?
Getting married next year and this cost is not budgeted for...

Apologies if you've already checked this, but are you sure it's the wheel and not just a puncture or leaking valve. Soapy water can help to track down slow leaks (spread it on the look for bubbles), and it's often easier with the wheel off.
If it is the wheel then I'd second the eBay approach. I bought an extra wheel for my car (just to have a full size spare). Again, slight kerbing as showed in the pictures, but a lot cheaper than new.

Having not had a puncture after 12+ years of driving turns out i was just assuming the worst... :/
Took it Halfords for their free tyre check and to my astonishment they were quick decent and honest (after previous bad dealings around MOT's).
£15.99 to repair the nail in the tyre, very happy! Good work Eastleigh Halfords!!!
