Anyone made this move - interested in thoughts good or bad. I have a 116520 white.

Looking at a 5167. How long is the uk wait? May consider a trip to Geneva unless there is a wait there too?

After wanting one for a while I find I don't have the urge to wear the Daytona and it mostly sits in its box. The PCL's annoy me, as does the fact that there are so many out there, and the comments it gets. I want something that I can use as a daily - does a PP on rubber work for this?

Have a sea dweller incoming so might wear that for a month to see how I get on with that before I make a final decision on which one of the three is a keeper.

I have had both these in the past. I preferred the black face Daytona to the white. The Aquanaut works really well on the tropical strap, better suited to that than the the steel bracelet in my opinion. I wore the Aquanaut more than the Daytona, and it is much more discreet. In the end I sold the Aquanaut to put towards a Nautilus, but I would have another Aquanaut in a heartbeat if I could.

Thanks. I prefer it on the tropical too. I made a few calls to AD's yesterday and will be difficult to find anyone who will add you to their list in the uk. The places I have a relationship with from other jewellery and watches are not PP AD's. I am prepared to wait or travel to pick one up at list price though.

I thought it might be easier to buy the 1a on s/steel and then buy the strap but apparently this is frowned upon in their boutiques?

There's also a 5.5% price increase tomorrow which I can't see reducing demand or premiums.

What wrist size are you? I have a spare tropical strap from my Aquanaut, it is cut down to fit me, but if it would fit you it may be an option for you?

ETA - scrub that, you'll need the deployant buckle as well. Doh. spin

I vaguely remember reading that it isn't a straight swap either?
Something like that cropped up in my research when I was toying with an aquanaut .

Ultimately decided against it due to the strap (felt very odd wearing a PP on a rubber and I didn't think it looked good, although it was extremely comfortable) and I dislike bracelets, so out of options on that front, although did consider putting it on leather..

Has been a straight swap for the past lot of years now, but early models need to be done by a Patek first.
