Oh jesus, you forget about it, then it will the achingly trendy M and S, the twee John Lewis one everyone now looks forward to and cheap and cheerful Morrisons over a sleigh bell

Don't people eat pancakes at any time of the year?

The local card factory shop to us has had Christmas cards in for at least 8weeks already as I saw them when getting the helium balloons sorted for a wedding in early July

I don't mind, I'm excited for Christmas, we love it. Also for the first time in 14 years I'm not working at all over the festive period. We've already started buying decorations..

Whoosh parrot incoming.

What was the name of the company that advertised its Christmas catalogue on TV during the first week of the new year? Been a long time since I saw the ad...

Was it Park, or something like that? Think they had a bit of a scandal a few years ago where they'd spent everyones savings on crisps and football stickers instead of keeping hold of it. Or something.

Yeah - caught by that one. I'm sure I saw a card with a heart on it in card store the other day too. This is just getting ridiculous.

They are the Xmas hamper people who collect all year round so people can save enough for Xmas. Hit hard by the Farepack scandal when they went bust before Xmas leaving everyone in the lurch.

Local tat shop started to take away the gardening stuff and replace it with the Christmas stuff at the start of August.

The 2 staff stacking the shelves had stuck hand written signs to the back of their sweatshirts with "SORRY!" writing in big letters. Made me laugh.

Why are tv ads for cologne/scent etc usually shown in monochrome? Puts me right off buying anything if I see that.

Its like a shopping channel presentation where the disadvantaged person without the new product is shown less colourful.

Aggghhhhhhhh.... my thermostat is still set to the same temp it was in February!!! When it gets that cold, the heating will magically turn itself on.
