Hi - I'm picking up a 95 Griff 500 this weekend. Both keyfobs were long ago lost.

So I will be checking to see if it has a Meta alarm (which I'm doubting due to it's age?) - is so I believe Abacus will be able to help me get new fobs, as long as I still have the alarm code on a red plastic tag of some sort. If it's a foxguard I believe it's a case of binning it.

Assuming that doesn't happen, what are alarm people installing in Griffs? Do you use a TVR specialist or do the mobile alarm guys seem to know their way round getting the dash off (which I assume they need to) on a Griff? (I'm in Somerset)

My local TVR specialist gets a guy in to do the alarm - full Meta alarm with boot release, but it is £525 PLUS vat... I was rather suprised. Apparently it takes him all day.

Have a word with http://www.hf-solutions.co.uk

He supplied me with a new fob, and did the boot release mod.

Thanks guys - ended up using my local TVR garage 1.8 miles away. Had a Sigma S30 fitted with boot release and microwave.
Ouch!
