WW1 service records ?

Can anyone point me at a decent site for accessing the (remaining) WW1 records -

The regiments often have history which might include individuals (mentionned in dispatches, etc).


I understand a great deal of records were lost in the WW2 Blitz..

I have done a bit of digging and with his old address I have now found grandfather's record.

Complicated by his surname changing due to a family dispute - a family rumour but now confirmed!
