Suzuki TL1000R
Discussion
Hello all.
I like twins. I used to have a VTR1000, but someone knocked me off it, and it's been written off.
Currently, I have an SV1000 as a courtesy bike, which I've done about a thousand miles on. I like it.
As a replacement for my VTR, I'm considering a TL1000R.
The insurance payout should buy me a reasonable 99-2000 model. Does anyone have an opinion of them?

A mate had one, he changed the rotary rear shock for a Maxton, which made it handle better and fitted a full race Yoshi system which was f
g Loud!
It was certainly fast and seemed to handle ok, not as nimble as a Duke, but not as fragile or expensive to keep either.
Oh and did I mention it was f

Thanks guys. That covers most of what I've read. The only other things I've heard so far is that some people think they're ugly (Like I give a hoot what they think!) and that it's quite a heavy beasty to ride, and quite a lot of upper body strength is required if you're really shifting in the twisties.
Quite a few on the s/h market already have Maxton or Ohlins rear susp, but since I started to fiddle with the setup of my VTR, I realise how important it is for the shock and forks to be tuned appropriately for your riding style and weight.
With any luck, I'll be able to announce its arrival shortly!
