I am just in the process of renewing one of my insurance policies and also considering whether to renew the legal protection cover.
I have more than one car so the legal protection builds up in annual costs.
I have just seen that Driver Guardian offer legal protection cover and this would cover any insurance policy on all my cars and saves quite a bit of money annually.
Has anyone had dealings with Driver Guardian, I have to say I have never heard of them, but online reviews seem good and they are FSA regulated.
Thanks.

FSA no longer exists. Was replaced by FCA years ago. If they aren't FCA regulated, walk away.

Sorry, my mistake. Yes they are FCA registered. I have checked the FCA site and they do show there.

did you go for this in the end? with insurance costs seeming going through the roof, i'm thinking the same thing to save a bit of money!

Do it. Everyone should have legal expenses cover on their motor insurance. Buying it as a standalone policy is most definitely the right move and much cheaper than buying on epolicy per vehicle.

For info, people seem to be tpregualrly confused by what this covers. This is a policy to cover any costs you incur whilst chasing uninsured losses in a non (or partial) fault claim. Uninsured losses are your excess and more commonly injury. If you don’t have it then the nice No Win, No fee people will actually charge you a fee of up to 25% of the damages you get awarded.

This does NOT cover chasing a claim through the courts to dispute liability, your main policy covers that. However, your insurer may decide that it’s not financially viable to chase down what you think is viable.
