....and counting!!!.
Just thought I'd post up my own experiences & thoughts coming on 1 year in with my Cerbera.
Many of you, have far and away more experience here, so this is probably for anyone 'thinking',
hmm, can I really be bothered with this? They're a bit, you know.....iffy.. etc.
Yes, they require certain considerations in regards to how you look after them, keeping them on
a battery conditioner if not used frequently enough, and of course never actually
getting to where you are trying to get to, 'cos that's what they all say, innit?
Any older classic car (I'm talking 20 years +) , Porsche (are you allowed to say that here?), BMW etc etc requires proper knowledgable
and sympathetic maintenance to keep going as designed. My experience of those two marques over the last 12 years or so was enjoyable,
relatively easily got parts ,even from main dealers (who were often cheaper after haggling), hand delivered brake pads from Porsche Aberdeen
on a Saturday tea-time for £100 all in? I kid you not, he was even in the latest 911!
Something was missing though...
40 years ago, my old man used to bring home old Motorsport magazines from his work, TVR's were advertised in that, Fast Lane, Performance Car and then EVO (before Harry left) did the whole TVR thing and it really bugged me.
So last year, plan hatched, flog Porsche, (wife NOT impressed), get Cerbera as we need back seats (3 kids). 1 stays at home
Just passed its first MOT (with me) today, so the rose tints are firmly on, but where would you go from here? It is
(Clarkson Alert) Fan-Bleeding-Tastic!! It is comfy, it will mooch about at low revs, ELO sounds great in it at max volume,
and no-one I've met so far anyway has any jealousy of it, they just seem to enjoy it which is in my experience not the norm
in this country, it's thumbs up and smiles from other cars and people walking by, and you get let out from junctions! Oh,
and when you stick your foot in it, it will set your trousers on fire...
At some point it will infuriate me I have no doubt, but so far I'm as happy as a sandbag and its staying put!
Anyway, just my thoughts,
As you were,
Sticky.

11 years ownership of mine. The first few years were drive. drive, drive and it took me to some great places, opened brilliant opportunities. The last few years have been constant improvement to the point it's now one of the best around and its back to drive, drive, drive
Off to Wales in it for the long weekend. Time to wake up people around the Brecons
