Warm and cosy?

Thinking of getting a used 981 Boxster, and have seen a nice one but it has no heated seats. Anyone got experience of retrofitting them and / or a heated steering wheel?

Can't comment on retro-fit, but heated seats probable quadruple the number of days you can drive a Boxster with the roof down - without having to dress at Millets

I have never specified them on new cars nor used them on pre-owned cabriolets. But then in my youth I drove a MG Midget in the winter always roof down unless raining hard. Modern youth - hah!

Yes, well this is my experience as well, having possibly been spoilt by my 996 having heated seats amongst other upgrades. All of which make it a bit hard to find the right spec 981 for next time. Hence the question about retrofit!

My missed had a 370z with heated and chilled seats. They were bloody fantastic and barring rain the roof was nearly always down.

In my youth I had two Spitfires, took the hood up and down all the time and had the broken nails to prove it. In my dotage though, I prefer a bit of comfort

Haha, I also drove an MG Midget daily for 9 years including Aberdeen winters...and my heater never worked a day since I bought it!
