Problems logging on to PH

Scoobz is now in the USofA, and can't seem to get on to PH at all. Any ideas? Rest of net works and am chatting on msn with him.

what error is he getting? Could be a DNS server has gone down somewhere meaning it can't resolve the ip (195.225.218.139).

hmm, this is intriguing then.

If he can't access PH (or at the petrolheads.co.uk holding page) via the direct ip address something else is up.

I doubt ted has banned him so there is no point asking him to try an anonoymiser but what about any other british sites (www.stefancarlton.net for instance), what about the variety of rebranded PH sites such as www.hsv.org.uk, www.porkers.co.uk, etc (doubt they'll work), what about PH's host : www.carrenza.com/ , what about www.itv-f1.com , www.alliance-leicester.co.uk/home/index.asp?page=home , www.ddb.com/ (hosted by PH's host)

hmm, hsv wasn't what I thought it was.

if carenza isn't resolving then goodness knows, likely to be a DNS problem somewhere if the entire server centre is down, but I'm past the stuff I can diagnose easily.

valid PH network URLS include

www.hsv.org.uk
www.corvettechat.co.uk
www.porkers.co.uk

but they all point at the same servers.

no problems with the Carrenza Network - must be an issue local to you, probably your provider or one of their partners having peering issues.
