Hi,

Picked this up today smile

180 Competizione, Performance Pack (limited slip diff, carbon fibre leather & alcantara Sabelt seats and lightweight forged alloys), carbon dashboard, Xenon lights, nav, beats audio & car play.

Had a Thatcham 2-1 alarm upgrade & datatag system too.

Had a sadly typical FCA QA issues (the rear diffuser wasn't secured so was flapping above 60mph, necessitating an instant return to dealer) but other than that, the 184 mile run home was epic!!

Majorly grin inducingsmile

My sort of car for sure biggrin

Cheers,

Simon

Very cool abarth. I bet there not fun to work on seeing the compactness of the engine bay.

Looks crackiong mate! Ideal spec for me ... would prefer the grey they do but everything else is spot on!

Have seen quite a few of these abarth 500's about recently and most have been on newish plates (66 etc), they sound great standard but when I see the four tips for the monza I do get a little more excited! biggrin

The stainless Record Monza sounds brilliant.

Tastefully rude smile

The new Abarth Red is very similar to Scuderia Rosso as in quite orangey. Looks lovely.

Really pleased & glad I splashed out on the extras.

If you need any parts / OEM upgrades speak to my boss Nick at Chadwell Heath Fiat & Abarth. 0208 510 1255

Tell him Grant sent you over and he will look after you. You may come across him on some of the FB pages if you go on to them.

He has just upgraded the turbo and few other bits on his and now at the 250bhp mark!

That is a lovely little thing, pretty much the exact spec I would go for.

Ooooft.

I applaud your taste in small Italians biggrin

How do you find the seat height? I'm waiting for local dealer to get a Competizione in as the height could be a deal breaker for me.

Can't find any definitive info as to how it compares with the standard seat at it's lowest.

Looks lovely, mate. I come from a long line of VDub (and others). I'm currently 2 years in to a 3 year PCP on a Street Up! I needed to watch the finances for a number of reasons, but I'm now looking to get into something quicker and different. I keep coming back to a 595 Competizone and will be following your ownership experience with great interest. I'll be looking to PCP or maybe if I can find the right deal PCH one. Guess it will depend on what looks the best deal at the time. Enjoy your very characterful new motor!

Love these as I test drove one a couple of weeks ago.

The noise of the exhaust made me feel like a teenager again.

I think that this will be next car as it was so much fun.

Couple of questions:

- where did you get it to require a 184mile journey
- does it come with a bmc air filter as stamdaed

Cheers

Lovely looking car there.

A friend nearly bought a brand new one earlier in the year after driving it and being really impressed, but didn't commit to a PCP, but ever since he mentioned it, I've been sorely tempted myself!

Thing is, he isn't 6ft5 and 21 stone, so I fear it would look like I'm wearing Abarth Lycra if I so much as sat in one.
