Broken springs
Discussion
So the car went in for a bit of work ( not suspension )and Ive been told that both rear springs were broken. Now I do trust the garage its gone to but surely I would have felt that in the handling straight away. They were gaz gold's fitted in 2013 and have done less than 8k miles so a bit miffed to say the least. Would also have though if I had gone over pot holes to do that damage my spine would be in traction still. Will be getting in touch with gaz when I get the car and broken parts back. Anyone had this problem with them ?

Not referring to any specific make of spring but just to say the most common failure is in the last coil of the spring so it may loose very little in the way of ride height or performance. It will also be in the spring cup so probably won/t make any noise either.

This is my my experience also not on a TVR but to paraphrase Mr Wilde - To break one spring may be regarded as a misfortune; to break both in 8k miles looks like a quality problem!Steve
Had the same both rear springs broken which meant I ended up in the kitty litter at Brands Hatch,. I knew there was something wrong as soon as I joined the track from the pits car was al over the place at first thought tyres had gone off so took it gently but just lost it, seems to be a common fought here, I might get back to the supplier of the shocks
