Replacing my t5 OVLOV. Exhaustive list.............
Discussion
Will be replacing my ex police 99 V70 t5 shortly after Santa has been.
The volvo was only ever intended to be a cheap run around after buying my first house and she has served me well. Completly fallen in love with her and she will never be leaving my ownership although she will be replaced.
Living alone and with no kids (none wanted either) the new car shortlist is of somewhat a little varied shall we say. The car will have no real purpose other than my enjoyment. No "what if i have to take the parents somewhere" "what if i have to go b&q and buy a plant pot" etc etc.
As like any car Ive owned, they have always been modified/upgraded/downgraded/ruined how ever you look at it. Long term plan would be big power for which ever is chosen.
KEY POINTS :
under £25k
ermmm thats about it
So on to the shortlist in no particular order:
Nissan Skyline R32 GTR
Nissan Skyline R34 GTT
Audi RS6 c6
Audi RS3 8p
Vauxhall VXR8
BMW 135i
Toyota Supra
996 - 991 gt3 kit
Gather its bit of a mismatch, but I just cant seem to narrow it down anymore. I know some of the cars aren't even comparible 135 vs rs6 etc Although as stated I would modify in a year or so after ownership. Eg 135i on stg2 pure turbo etc 500+hp. But then the horror storys of rs6 coolant pipes and engine out etc etc on the older cars (skylines etc) however it still doesnt sway me really.
Any help from owners/ previous owners, Oppinions etc greatly appreciated.
I gather some of you will think im completly bonkers, just like the Volvo.

The supra is the one that jumps out at me, still a huge head Turner and doesn't seem to age very much at all design wise.
Finding one that hasn't been destroyed with aftermarket tat might be the biggest hurdle.
The wheels have to be those lovely Volk things though, like this

C63 is so much nicer than all of those for that kind of money and would be infinitely more reliable I would have thought.
I'd love an R34 skyline but there is no way I would even consider spending money on a non-gtr.
You hadn't mentioned R33 gtr in there. Don't like them?
If fun is the only criteria, would you consider spending less and buying an Evo?
I have had some brilliant cars over the years but I don't think any have made me smile as much as my Evo 8 which should be embarrassing to own but is actually brilliant.
