Buying a used Lotus from dealership
Discussion
Hello all,
After a bit of advice before I start the hard part...
Looking for an Evora S, LHD in Europe. They seem to range from between 40,000 and 50,000 EUR in the spec I want. I'm not interested in finance, I will pay cash.
Most of the ones I see for sale are at dealerships, but privately owned (i.e. commission sales) but there are a few dealer sales. Nearly all of the adverts include 20% VAT (which is kind of bulls
t given VAT is paid on the initial sale...).
The question I have is what kind of margins are dealers working from on these cars so I have an idea of where to aim? We are coming into low season as the autumn and winter get closer, and I'm not looking to have my cheeks spread when I hand over cash...
Advice appreciated
