Reading council is finally looking at solving the traffic problems north of Reading town centre. See below:

www.reading.gov.uk/NewsArticle.asp?id=SXC1DC-A7806868&cat=1969

Of course, traffic problems could all be solved by building a third bridge across the thames, extending the A3290, but car-hating Oxon CC won't allow that

Have your say if you are a local!!!

Edited to add - having scanned the map, I'm worried. I assume 'possible junction improvements' is how they are hiding bus traffic light proposals - we already have these in Reading. The only busses I ever see using them are empty. Pointless junctions to create traffic problems to try and remove cars!

"Park and Sail" did a two year old come up with that one & "bigger, better buses" says it all really - the message is plain - grow a beard & scoff lentils whilst waiting for a bus...

And I thought Reading CC's solution was to send out its Traffic Morons late in the evening and early in the morning to smother cars in parking tickets obliterating the drivers view thus keeping cars off the highway while earning lots of mullah to pay for the new busses!!!

Either that or they are paying gangs of small rodents in hoodies to come round and torch cars parked in Caversham.
