Hi there,

If you mean race schools with track instruction then I'd recommend the California Superbike School with Andy Ibbot. Especially if you're doing a lot of trackdays. I've done levels 1 & 2 and am doing level 3 soon, basically it teaches the Keith Code theory over 3 levels (full day for each level) & then refines your riding on level 4 working on your weak areas - our instructors have all been racers or ex racers & very good at what they do - ratio about 3 students : 1 inststructor. They also run an aditional specialist school for 'wannabe' racers, but I don't know much about that - check their website. They operate mainly from Rockingham. Oh and they do a supermoto school too. They have a hire facility where you can loan an R6 but it's quite pricey.

There is also the Donington Ron Haslam School which is a shorter single session (2 levels) 1 on CBR600's and 2 on Fireblades - very good for people who havn't been on any trackdays who just want to get some confidence. I've done this twice & it's good but not anywhere near as thorough or detailed as the California Superbike School. Depends what you're after??

There is also the European Superbike School with Franki Chilli and a couple of others but I can't tell you much cos I've not done them.

It really depends what you're wanting to get from a school??

Thanks for a detailed reply, thats great

Matts in his 1st season of racing with the Bemsee series. He rides in the Forza Extreme class for bikes up to 1300cc and modified.

It sounds like the California school may be able to help with his race craft. Thanks again its good to hear from people who have experienced the schools.

No probs, let us know what he thinks of it if he does it. The California Superbike Race Academy thing is probably what he's looking for.... give them a bell & pick their brains to see what's best.
