Note found outside my house with my car reg on...erm...what?
Discussion
Afternoon PH'ers!
So, I've left my house this morning and was just about to get into my daily driver (parked just on the road) and spot a post-it note near on the floor. Picked it up to bin it and it has my (other, not daily driver) car's previous registration on. This reg was changed to my private reg about 2 weeks ago, and i'd owned the car for about 2 weeks with that registration on.
On the note is the first line of and address...not my own but for one on a slightly rougher area of the town.
Odd? What's making me a bit confused is that it has the old reg on..is someone out of date with their shopping list perhaps?

If the post it note hasnt come from your house then you need to turn Sherlock and ask yourself why would someone else have a reason to have your registration number written down, with another address.
Could it be that some tea leaf has been given the number and a delivery address, and they turned up expecting the car to be outside?

I know somebody who, when parking next to a badly parked or beaten up car, writes their registration on a post-it, and puts it inside his window so they can see it.
The theory being that they know if they scratch his car when leaving, he already has their details.
Maybe this was somebody equally as loopy, who came back to their car, found that you hadn't dented it, and threw the note away.

brilliant theory haha!Yeah, car will be made completely inaccessible to anyone who knows where it is for the next week or two.
Neighbours have been alerted also as one has a car he really loves.
