Due to some cracks in the manifolds on my Boxster 987 3.2, and the rest of the system I've been looking at options.

I've been in discussion with Gert Carnewal and he's looked at pics of the manifolds and confirmed they can be repaired for a reasonable cost if he's converting the primary cats to 200 cell ones. So I was going to go down the route of this plus his GT system for the rest.

However, he did ask if I'm ok with a loud car!

It's a weekend toy so yes, in principle, given the consistent comments about the quality of the noise his systems produce, I am happy with that, however I still want to be able to pass noise tests for tracks days.

Does anyone else have this set up on their car and done any track days or noise tested their car?

If so then any experience shared is much appreciated.

Thanks

here is mine but it still has flaps so I can close them.

this is with a mic at the back and flaps open, so not what you hear in the cabin. I cannot do Bedworth and tracks like that really.

Ive got the 200 cell cats and Carnewal exhaust on my 997 911. Its loudish but not excessive by any means for a weekend car. I wouldn't want it any quieter to be honest. Im based in Yorkshire near Leeds if you want to listen to it.
