Evening all,

Can anyone recommend someone who knows the 6.3 AMG engine and would be a safe choice to use to rebuild one?

Anywhere in the UK or Europe as long as they are totally reliable.

Thanks in advance,
Bryn.

If it's totally reliable and in Europe you're after, have you considered AMG themselves?

I hope you don't mind me asking but why does the engine need a rebuild?

That is an option, but if I go down that route there is a new engine on German eBay for a similar price to what they will charge.

Cheers,
Bryn,

Does anyone know if someone in the UK looks/looked after the SLS AMG GT3 cars? They would be an option

Give MSL Performance get them to strip it & find out what you need then I'd get onto Weistec & order upgraded parts they offer, which means you get a much better/stronger engine than you had before.

I can personally recommend their products as I've used them on both of my Mercedes.

Here's the link or give them a call.

As above really.

MSL have done lots of these things and know their way around them. They're based in Birmingham, so relatively central, and are agents for both Weistec and Eurocharged.

They can be reached on 0121 772 4455, or ring the owner (Acid) directly on his mobile: 07765 444447

Usual disclaimer, no connection etc, though they did do lots of work on my last car, and hopefully will be doing more on my current one.

Are they prone to problems, I read about the head bolt issue which seems to be fairly rare, do they have other issues ?

In a word No.
