Prospective 991.2 GT3 RS Owners Discussion Forum
Discussion
If i happen to be one of the blessed few and secure an allocation next year it will be the keeper and if not my 991.2 GT3 will be kept long term.My wish for the new RS is to be improved by more imaginative weight reduction to improve all aspects of dynamics and not just a headline grabbing HP gain.
A lot of the GT2 RS can be copied hopefully in terms of weight reduction like using a magnesium roll bar which is 40%(7kg) lighter than the steel one and keep downforce as the gen 1 which is plenty imo especially if they manage to trim 30kg+ from the kerb weight.
As an aside Porsche are going to have to pull off a magical piece of engineering to trump the new GT3 if the driving impressions i've read are anything to go by.

They will have pulled that off already, we just haven't seen it yet.Hopefully the next RS will have options borrowed from the 2RS like weissach package and maybe some funky colours but my hopes aren't high on that one.
Keep hearing rumours of something very limited and very special but it's like groundhog day on that one. Geneva next year I think is nailed on for the debut.

At my OPC I'm fairly sure people wouldn't get a bite at both (quite rightly)...they're very deliberately rotating who gets cars...short term it'll have upset some people but medium/long term it has to be the right policy.
Same as my OPC, I'm hoping I'll have a better chance of a 992 RSGassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
