Finally got round to starting the Can-Am build today. Was a bit of a slow start, but have successfully rekindled my enthusiasm for building these great cars.

I anctipate that this build will take a while, not because it's more complex than the GTR, but because I am recording my progress on the website, in hi-res for a CD and also digital video for a build DVD (the CD and DVD will be available to buy at the end of the build for anyone who's interested).

I've got sore fingers just thinking about it

Anyway, 1st update will be live tomorrow.

Thanks for the positive comments chaps.

Am trying to go for a slightly different angle on this site, otherwise it will be too similar to the GTR one. The net result seems to be almost anal descriptive detail which takes an age to write up/prepare!

Still, as long as people find it useful.

Any suggestions for things you'd like to see or change would be welcome - as long as it doesn't involve even more work

Seems to have added to your existing site without over repeating what is already there, though it still won't stop numpties like me removing too much alloy from the odd panel and deciding to start over
Hope you find some takers for the CD/DVD. For somebody (like me) who hasn't done this before, it could save a fair bit of head scratching.

Oh, trust me Clive, I make as many mistakes as anyone. I just leave them off the site

Making some great progress now though. Lots of panels pre-fitted, just the floor to do. Shed loads to write up for the website, not to mention the video etc.etc.etc.

Would love to have the car done for the summer, but I think that's going to be a tall order. Definitely want it finished by late summer/autumn though.

Does seem to be coming together quicker than I remember the GTR? Easier 2nd time around I suppose and a lot less head scratching!!
