14CUX Wiring Diagram

Can anyone point me in the direction of a wiring diagram for the 14CUX circuit board, please?

If it's anything like the 4CU (non-hotwire), you'll be waiting a while. Of course, it may be that some saddo like me has sat down and traced the boards, but whether the info would be of much help to you is another matter. In the case of the 4CU, it's pretty basic electronics apart from the two Ferranti ICs that you can't buy, and one RCA transistor that isn't listed aywhere, unless you have a transistor data book from the Dark Ages...

If you have a spare 14CUX I'd be happy to trace it for you...

Thanks for that. I've got a couple of burnt tracks on the board, probably from when I was fitting the hot start relay mod last weekend, and disconnectedf the 3 link wire connector with the engine running. Since then it's been running rough.

I was just interested in what the tracks did, to determine whether it tied in with the symptoms.

I do not see how removing the 3 link could do anything, got to be something else, did you see my message ?

No, where did you post it?

It may be I shorted it against the fuse block when fiddling around or something, David. I didn't think I could have blown it doing the mod, but it seemed too much of a co-incidence to be anything else!

There are quite a few bits and bobs down there,. the 3 lniks are not connected to the ECU. Not sure where i posted, it was somewhere, you were asking. I will drop you an email.

Yes... RCA 17344. I too have TITS from the dark ages...

Its not anything like the 4CU as it has a custom microprocessor and other chips in it as it is more digital that the 4CU system. I nearly said completely digital but I seem to remember there are still one or two analogue functions there.

Ah... Towers International Transistor Selector by T.D. Towers. Once upon a time I had my nose in that book daily.

RCA 17344, its not in my 1974 edition, is it in any of yours?

That IS the dark ages! No, mine doesn't list it, but I have a friend with more books than enough: if it's in there, he can find it.
I know what the general spec. of the transistor is, which is what matters, as you know...
