Remotes for Amps (Sony)

I have a Sony amp but the power button isn't working. I've googled the remote model number (RM-AAP044) but can't find a replacement anywhere.

Probably a silly question but if I get another AAP model remote, will it work?

Alternately, does anyone repair remotes?

Perhaps a Logitech Harmony or other universal remote?

When you attach it to your computer, your can access a database of known products and their IR codes, if your amp is not too niche it should be on there to download.
