Why not eh, 25% off and stretch it over a year 46 quid a month for a quark...
Which system would you buy?!
Also, if I'm getting a quark what would the bcd be for my cranks (50-34x172,5mm(11-28 ultegras)
THanks
PMs are not on the allowed list of accessories for the cycle to work schemes, so unless you have a friendly cycle shop willing to bend the rules for you, you will be out of luck.Which system would you buy?!

Depends which option, if you conviently get pedal based one this counts as a legitimate accessory does it not as many bikes dont come with pedals, just they may cost you about £700-800
ie I've got Vectors through the scheme in the past.SoliD said:

Cheers, might take a look. Will ask around and see if they'll do cranks, quark look quite good.

Which quark though, their product line up is a bit of a minefield !
I did like the look of the new dura ace ones, but no real tests on them yet.
The lineup is a lot simpler now. They are basically all the same, just with different fitment options to cater for bottom brackets or trying to make it match an existing groupset.I did like the look of the new dura ace ones, but no real tests on them yet.
Id rather get a D Zero and new chain rings to go on it than try and get a D-Four to use existing Shimano rings. Youll also need a new bottom bracket if youre changing from Shimano, even if you get a D-Four.

That's good to know, thanks. I've got a bb386 evo but with a shimano ultegra bb, presumably theres some kinda adaptor I've got in there that will need changing to fit a new bb and the cranks?!Id rather get a D Zero and new chain rings to go on it than try and get a D-Four to use existing Shimano rings. If you fit the Quarq GXP spindle into a 24mm shimano adapted bottom bracket then you'll need a little shim on the GXP's step down section. It gets a bit messy so I'm going to get a new GXP specific bottome bracket.
I swapped out my lads 6800 50-34 crank last night for a D Zero ali crank. It added ~150 grams to the assembly. That cost £512. This was on a training bike. He uses an Elsa R with carbon cranks on his race bike and thats much lighter so if it's your one and only special bike then stump up the extra ~£80 for the carbon arms.
You can keep your Shimano chain rings if you buy the Quarq Dfour, otherwise the D zeros need 5 bolt 110 or 130 BCD chainrings. Dfours are likely to cost £750+ but they come with carbon arms as standard. A pair of nice rings for the Dzero is going to stand you another £100 anyway so there's not much in it.
I presume your frame has some adapter to bring the BB386Evo 30mm ID down to the 24mm for the Shimano. Quarq recommend you get the BB30 version so you can go back to straight bearings set into the frame again...
