Boxster 2008 2.7 ....... radio has a mind of its own

Hi there,
Can anyone guide me on a possible electrics problem. On a number of occasions the radio has been turning itself off and then turning back on a minute later, sometimes on a different radio station. The sound has now gone completely on the radio, CD player still has sound though. I've recently also updated the sat nav disc but the car doesn't seem to be able to read the disc even with resetting the whole sat nav system. I'm wondering if the sat nav system is causing the radio to default like this. It's a pain because I'm trying to sell the car at the moment and this little problem crops up. Any thoughts on what could be causing this issue?

Have you tried a hard PCM reset by pushing buttons 1 + 4 + 8 at the same time and/or removing the fuse (can't remember which one) for a minute or so?
My radio was doing the same at time of resale and this fix did it for me.......

Many thanks for the advice. Yes I've done that but for some reason the problem seems to come back again at a later date. Will try replacing the fuse perhaps. Thanks for your help.
