Hi all,
So, finally, late to the party to get a TVR. I wanted to get one 3 years back but didn't push the button. Now deliberating between a Tuscan 2 (S if I can stretch to it) or a T350. (Not sure whether to go for Targa or Coupe though. Perhaps Coupe so it doesn't leak?) I am a little late to the party, but hoping I can get a deal this winter. Want Spectraflair Silver ideally, love it.

My main question related to the dealers as I will be buying from one of them as I live in Dubai, so need something that is tip top and doesn't come with ball ache.
I WANTED TO HEAR OWNERS THOUGHTS ON THE MAIN TVR DEALERS/SERVICE CENTRES

Str8six has a pretty good reputation hey? (Costs more but comprehensive and many seem to have been bought up to high standard)
Racing Green (Been around a long time, selling less TVR's these days)
Tony Gilbert Cars (Always a good range? Pricey?)
Track V Road (I don't know them but they always seem to have nice spec cars in there)
TVR Kerridges (I know little about them)
Shmoo Automotive
Bespoke Performance - The TVR Centre

From all I am veering towards Str8six, but appreciate owners comments from experience. Thanks.

Brought 2 from Str8six, exceptional prep and detail. Nice bunch of knowledgeable guys and passionate. Also brought and sold a Tuscan to James Agger who was good also. Good luck with the choice I have a MK1 Tuscan S but purchased a T350C from Jason 4 months ago. Its a great drive compared to the Tuscan but i love the look and style of the Tuscans.

Buy a Porsche or AMG then. Worldwide dealership network with proven recourse.

PHeads has a name and shame policy that means you can only reply positive thoughts on any company.

They all leak. A fixed roof doesn't mean it is leak free. You'll need to keep an eye on any model and address leaks as they occur.

Personally, I'd have a T350T convert it to the mk2 roof clips (if not already done).

Bad experiences (and how well they were resolved) will be the most helpful to you. Sadly they're not allowed here, so it could be worth asking some of the relevant communities on Facebook too.
I am aware of some particularly poorly handled issues by one of your favourites you mention.
Also, it' could be worth just discussing your plans with whichever dealer. Hopefully most places would be able to make sure their cars were extra thoroughly checked over for you. (Or suggest any preventative work that might be done)

Thanks all,

Car will stay in the UK so not too bothered about the network. Will eventually take to Australia in 5-6 years, so will be stored and driven when I am in UK occassionally. Want to get one now before prices increase even more so than they have. Should have picked one up a few years ago for 15-20k! Oops

I would suggest you include Amore in your list too as I believe they offer a maintained storage facility.

The one thing all TVRs hate and respond very poorly to is storage and lack of use.

Your list does not include Powers Performance confused

http://www.powersperformance.co.uk/about/

They currently have exactly what you are looking for too - in fact 2 x T350s

http://www.powersperformance.co.uk/used/

They do lots of upgrades and several other TVR dealers use them for engine repairs, rebuilds etc etc. thumbup

All of the above and Track V Road and Topcats.

The T350T doesn't leak via the roof panels.

A vote for Str8six here. Had three cars off them over the years. Some of the best people I have ever dealt with. Car prep second to none and any issues resolved above and beyond.

I tried to buy from Racing Green in the first instance ...
